costa rica.

Costa Rica felt like stepping into a slower version of life in the best possible way!

warm air, open windows, slow mornings, ocean salt on your skin long after leaving the beach. everything about it felt effortless.

we flew into Liberia before heading toward Tamarindo, where every day seemed to blur into sunset dinners, beach walks, and driving with the windows down beneath endless palms.

the highlight of the trip was easily La Leona Waterfall. the hike felt more like an experience than an excursion. crossing rivers, climbing through canyons, and completely soaked before reaching the bright turquoise water hidden between the rocks. It felt untouched and unreal in the best way.

we stayed at Villa Sabbia, the most beautiful Airbnb surrounded by tropical greenery and quiet. mornings by the pool, natural light pouring through every room, evenings that felt slow and cinematic. the kind of place that makes you instantly relax.

some of my favourite moments were the simplest ones. Smoothies and tacos from Mandarina Juice & Taco Bar after the beach. Sunset dinners at Agua Salada. warm nights spent wandering through El Mercadito with music playing in the background.

Costa Rica has this way of making life feel lighter. beautiful without trying too hard. easily one of my favourite trips I’ve ever taken.

places not to miss:

  • Playa Langosta quieter than Tamarindo with the prettiest golden hour

  • Santa Teresa Beach laid back surf town energy, jungle roads, chic cafés, and some of the prettiest sunsets

  • La Leona Waterfall turquoise canyon water, river crossings, and one of the most unforgettable experiences

  • Mandarina Juice & Taco Bar fresh, casual, beach day food. Smoothies, tacos, everything tastes light and clean in the best way

  • Agua Salada soft sunset lighting, slow dinners, elevated but still relaxed coastal dining

  • Pangas Beach Club dinner right on the water, golden hour tables, seafood, cocktails, and that soft beach glow that makes everything feel slower.

  • Walter's a low-key local favourite with a relaxed feel and consistently good food. Nothing overdone, just simple, solid dishes and an easygoing atmosphere that feels genuinely rooted in Tamarindo life

  • El Mercadito open air food market energy, music in the background, easy nights that turn into longer ones
